About the project

moveOporto is a mobile application created by a group of Oporto Insider's, which aims to promote interesting and alternative Spots across town. We intend to be an original and digital guide for Oporto city.

How did the idea came up?

After traveling for several European cities, we found out that the traditional tour guides did not allow us to know the real city. As we wanted to escape the traditional touristic circuit, we used apps and websites to explore Spots that only locals know.

So we decided to create a mobile app for our city, since it has been achieving an increase amount of several interesting spots. As Insiders, we know Oporto as no one else does and we want to share our favorite Spots and what new is happening in the town, promoting a new way of knowing it.

How are the Spots picked?

Spots's Enrollments are free, but we only insert the ones that we think are suitable. There is a waiting list that can be found at moveoporto.com/lista wich contains all the spots in pre-approval condition. All information is collected from the owners so it can be as accurate as possible.

The App is currently available only on Apple App Store for iPhone and iPod Touch. It also will be available soon for Android Phones and Apple iPad.
